Home Care in Los Angeles

Something has changed and you can feel it. The fall she did not tell you about. The pills in the wrong days of the organizer. The call from a neighbor. You have started driving over more often than you planned to, and you are beginning to understand that this is not going to get easier on its own.

Premier Home Care Services provides in-home care for seniors across Los Angeles. We are family owned, based in Chatsworth, and licensed by the California Department of Social Services as a Home Care Organization. We are bonded and insured.

What We Do

In Home Care Services We Provide in Los Angeles

Our home care services in Los Angeles are non-medical, which means help with daily life rather than clinical treatment. Most families start with a few days a week and adjust as things change.

24 Hour Care

Around-the-clock care for when being alone is no longer safe at any hour. We staff continuous coverage with a small, consistent team, including someone awake overnight, so your parent sees familiar faces instead of a rotation of strangers.

Companionship

Conversation, shared meals, light housekeeping, and someone in the house so the days are not spent alone. Isolation does more damage to older adults than most families realize, and it is usually the first thing that improves.

Personal Care

Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safe transfers. This is the help most people resist longest and need most. Our caregivers are trained to provide it in a way that protects dignity, because how it is done matters as much as whether it is done.

Dementia and Alzheimer's Care

Caregivers trained specifically for cognitive decline. That means knowing how to handle a repeated question for the ninth time, how to redirect instead of correct, and how to get through late-afternoon agitation without a confrontation.

Respite Care

Respite Care Family caregivers burn out. Short-term and scheduled relief lets you rest, travel, work, or handle your own health, knowing someone qualified is with your loved one and reporting back.

Post-hospital and transitional care

The weeks after a hospital stay or rehab discharge are when readmissions happen. We cover the gap: mobility support, medication reminders, meals, and consistent eyes on someone who is not back to themselves yet.

24 Hour and Live In Care

Most agencies treat continuous care as one item on a services list. For us it is the core of the operation, because it is the hardest thing to staff well and the thing families need most at the moment they are most afraid.

You are probably looking at this if a fall has already happened, if wandering has started, if the nights have become the problem, or if a doctor has used the word "unsafe." Part-time help does not solve any of those. What solves them is somebody there.

We staff continuous care with a small, consistent team rather than whoever is available. Your father sees the same handful of faces. They learn his routine, his stubborn streak, and the early signs that something is off. That continuity is the entire difference between round-the-clock care that works and round-the-clock care that exhausts everyone.

Why Los Angeles Families Choose Premier

We are family owned

The people answering the phone are accountable for what happens in your parent's home. There is no regional franchise office and no corporate escalation path. That changes how fast problems get fixed.

We are local

Our office is on Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Chatsworth. When you call, you reach the people who know your case, not a national intake line in another state.

We build the plan around your parent

A care coordinator comes to the home, meets your parent, and learns what a real day looks like. What she eats. When she sleeps. What she is stubborn about. The plan comes out of that visit, not a template.

We keep the same caregiver on your case

Consistency is the single biggest predictor of whether home care works, especially with dementia. We schedule for it on purpose.

How We Choose Our Caregivers

Registered as a Home Care Aide with the California Department of Social Services.

State registration requires a Department of Justice and FBI background check. It is not something an agency can self-certify.

TB tested and fit-to-work certified before the first shift.

Covered by our bond and liability insurance.

If something goes wrong in your parent's home, that is our responsibility, not your family's.

Trained on an ongoing basis, including specific training for dementia and Alzheimer's care.

What people are saying about us!

Margaret T.

Finding the right care for my father, Robert, was one of the most stressful times of my life. I live three hours away, so I was terrified about leaving him alone. From the very first phone call, this agency put my mind at ease. They listened to our specific needs and matched Dad with a caregiver who shares his love for classic movies and gardening.

Helen S.

I was very hesitant to accept help at first. I’ve been independent my whole life, and I didn't want a stranger in my house 'taking over.' But the team here doesn't treat me like a patient; they treat me like a friend. They help me with the things I can’t do anymore, like changing the sheets and making heavy meals, but they always step back and let me do the things I can do.

David M.

As a full-time caregiver for my husband, David, I was running on empty. I loved him too much to put him in a facility, but I was so exhausted I couldn't enjoy our time together anymore. This agency changed our lives.
Your Common Questions

Questions Families Ask Us

1. How quickly can home care start?
Often within a few days of the consultation. If it is urgent, call and we will tell you honestly what we can staff and when. We will not promise coverage we cannot deliver.
Employees. Payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, insurance, and bonding are handled by us. When a family hires a caregiver privately, all of that becomes the family’s responsibility, and most people do not find that out until there is a problem.

No. Our caregivers provide medication reminders, meaning prompting at the right time and confirming it happened. Administering medication requires a licensed clinician.

Long term care insurance often does. Medicare does not cover ongoing non-medical home care. Bring the policy to the consultation and we will read it with you.
Tell us and we will change it. No awkward conversation required and no penalty for asking. We would rather switch in week one than have your mother quietly stop answering the door.
